We don't have long,
Time is incessantly tick tock-ing away.
I can feel it ...

I watch his every m ^o v _e m ^e n _t ,
Hang on his every uttered word,
Revel in his easy laugh,
Savor his sweet ^s m _i l ^e .
And even admire
The way he pushes his glasses

          E
            O
               F
H I S   N O S E.
I try to live in this m~o~m~e~n~t,
Willing it, with every ounce of my being,
To last just a little while

But the time soon comes.

I can't seem to summon anything to say,
Even though I have all of these feelings
B  _u  b ^b  l _i ⁿ  g inside of me.
I drink in these last few moments
Of this face to face time,
Trying desperately
To commit the l ^{o o} k in his e ^{y e} s
To memory.
Ignoring the urge to reach out and touch him,
In the most   _innocent  of ways.
The tears well up
And I struggle to keep them at bay.
How is it possible that this man can make me feel
So many powerful emotions,

How can he silence my demons

How can he show me how much he loves me,
